Greeks Find Cause Of All Their Woes; The Jews.
As Greece’s economy teeters on the brink, virulent anti-Semitism is making an alarming comeback -
- At the start of Greece’s economic meltdown around 2009, Greek Jews already thought their country was in a bad way politically when the extreme right-wing Popular Orthodox Party (LAOS) came out of virtually nowhere to win seven percent of the national vote. Back in 2001, LAOS leader and MP Georgios Karatzaferis had raised the question of Jewish complicity in the 9/11 attacks in Parliament, stating that “the Jews have no right to provoke, because they have filled the world with crimes.”

Elite Women's College Rejects Transgender Student, Prompts Outcry.
Calliope Wong, 17, a Connecticut senior who was born a male but has identified as female since adolescence, says Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, twice opted not to read her application and returned it in the mail.
Almost all of Wong's paperwork to Smith, including transcripts and references, identifies her as female. But the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, form from the U.S. Department of Education marks her as male, she said,
Full Story.
The Destruction Of Marriage.
(canadafreepress) - The only question worth asking about gay marriage is whether anyone on the left would care about this crusade if it didn’t come with the privilege of bulldozing another civilizational institution.
Gay marriage is not about men marrying men or women marrying women, it is about the deconstruction of marriage between men and women. That is a thing that many men and women of one generation understand but have trouble conveying to another generation for whom marriage has already largely been deconstructed.
The statistics about the falling marriage rate tell the tale well enough. Marriage is a fading institution. Family is a flickering light in the evening of the West.

UK Independence Party - The False Alternative.
Says British National Party.
- In an attempt at presenting itself as a real party, UKIP has copied some nationalist and anti-immigration policies from the BNP, but has combined these with Thatcherism and 'libertarianism' (the philosophy of dog-eat-dog unrestricted capitalism).
It's unlikely that many of those who vote for UKIP, in desperation for any alternative to the main parties, actually understands the implications of this unpleasant combination of beliefs.
Thatcherism was a terrible social disaster for Britain, promoting get-rich-quick self-centred capitalism at the expense of the 'underclass' of long-term unemployed which it created.
Although Farage claims his party will "protect the British people" actually they only care about protecting City bankers and other rich British capitalists.
On social and economic policy they are right-wing Tories, with a programme of cuts in the health service and welfare, and huge commitments to increased defence spending.
In contrast the British National Party emphasises the social aspects of nationalism - that the nation is a family who should support its weaker members, not leave them to 'sink or swim'.
We don't aspire to be professional politicians, but instead work as part of communities across the UK in community action such as raising funds for food banks.
In contrast to the elitist UKIP, dominated by ex-stockbroker Farage, the BNP is an open and democratic party which encourages participation and discussion.
BNP policies include government decentralisation and commitment to local democracy, whilst the 'libertarianism' of UKIP simply means their government would take no responsibility for social welfare, but would be as centralised and authoritarian as Thatcher's regime in other respects.
In social/economic policy, UKIP is to the right of the conservatives, whilst the BNP is somewhat to the left of centre. More fundamentally, the BNP is a genuine party with a complete and coherent programme, not simply a single-issue pressure group with a grab-bag of policies.
The BNP has consistently had a radical and long-term perspective, we warned about the consequences of mass immigration - not just its economic harm but the dangers of British culture and peoples being replaced - for years before the other parties belatedly accepted the truth of these problems.
Likewise the BNP has been warning about the environmental harm from overpopulation, an issue the Green party has avoided raising out of fears of political incorrectness.
The BNP is willing to ask the big questions and challenge conventional thinking - for example, the absurdity that England is becoming more and more a dependency of London, whilst London itself becomes a foreign city - or whether Fractional Reserve Banking really makes sense as a basis of the financial system.
For all these reasons, people who want to see real change, and a true solution to Britain's problems, should support the BNP and not be seduced by the media promotion of Farage and his party.

'Which Parent Don't I Need?' Tween Asks Minn. House Committee.
(vineoflife.net) When 11-year-old Grace Evans sat to testify before the Minnesota House Civil Law Committee, it’s unlikely that anyone expected her to question the panel. Even more unlikely was their inability to answer. While their silence will likely be touted as refusal rather than inability, it’s nearly inconceivable to imagine a legislator telling an 11-year-old that one of her parents is unnecessary.
That was precisely Evans’ point. God made two parents of different sexes necessary for procreation for a reason: Both sexes’ God-given strengths are necessary in raising healthy children and creating a strong family.
“Since every child needs a mom and a dad to be born, I don’t think we can change that children need a mom and a dad,” Evans told committee members. “I believe G-d made it that way. I know some disagree, but I want to ask you this question: Which parent do I not need, my mom or my dad?
Evans said her mom “is my role model on how to be a girl and I love her very much. My dad is also very important to me because he protects me and helps me get the confidence to be a girl who is growing up to be a woman. He takes care of me in a way my mom cannot.”
After hearing testimonies from parties both supporting and opposing same-sex marriage, the House Civil Law Committee passed a bill on March 12 to legalize gay marriage. The bill passed on a 10-7 party-line vote, with all Democrats in favor and all Republicans opposed. The Senate Judiciary Committee also passed the bill the same day.
According to Sam Rohrer, president of Pennsylvania Pastors Network, God’s command in Genesis 1 requires man to “be fruitful and multiply, subdue the earth and fill it, and have dominion … over every living thing that moves on the earth.” God also created Adam and Eve, and made both sexes necessary for purposeful procreation. Eve was created to be a helper to Adam and together they were to fulfill God’s commands—including the raising of children.
“Like it or not, God made both sexes necessary components for procreation. Both have unique attributes and abilities that, together, make a complete unit in which to parent, with children learning specific skills and attributes from each parent,” says Rohrer.

Environmental Catastrophe: Train Hauling Canadian Oil Derails In Minnesota.
(Reuters) - A mile-long train hauling oil from Canada derailed, spilling 30,000 gallons of crude in western Minnesota on Wednesday, as debate rages over the environmental risks of transporting tar sands across the border.
The major spill, the first since the start of a boom in North American crude-by-rail transport three years ago, came when 14 cars on a 94-car Canadian Pacific train left the tracks about 150 miles northwest of Minneapolis near the town of Parkers Prairie, the Otter Tail Sheriff's Department said.
Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd, the country's second-largest railroad, said only one 26,000-gallon tank car had ruptured, adding it was a mixed freight train.
CP spokesman Ed Greenberg said he did not know if the crude was from Canada's tar sands or from conventional oil fields.
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency spokesman Dan Olson said up to three tank cars were ruptured and an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 gallons - or 475 to 715 barrels - leaked out.

Syria: Opposition Could Get Seat At U.N.
(Breitbart) - The leader for the Syrian Opposition Coalition on Tuesday called for the Syrian Opposition to take the seat of the Syrian Government at the United Nations on Tuesday. State Department Deputy Spokesman Patrick Ventrell declined to announce support or opposition to the request but only said that it would be something for the United Nations to decide. Ventrell did note, however, that the United States recognizes the Syrian Opposition Coalition as the "legitimate representative of the Syrian people."

10 'Terrorist' Organizations Operating In The US.
(Listverse) - Since the attacks on September 11, global initiatives to stop terrorism have taken place around the globe, most notably in the Middle East. With so much attention focused on one particular area, it is easy to forget that their are domestic terrorist groups in our own back yard. Unlike foreign terrorist organizations, these criminals do not need to attempt a risky border crossing; they’re already here. Despite their lack of publicity, these homegrown organizations do cause internal problems, more regularly than many would believe.
Georgia (The Country) Divided Over Stalin 'Local Hero' Status In Gori.
Hero worship is unhealthy...
(BBC 3/4/13) - On the 60th anniversary of the death of Soviet supreme ruler Joseph Stalin there is still controversy over how to view his legacy in his homeland Georgia.
Millions died when Stalin imposed iron discipline and state terror to root out "enemies of the people" and build a communist state.
But in the town of Gori, where he was born, the city council recently decided to re-erect a huge statue of Stalin, which the pro-Western government of President Mikheil Saakashvili took down almost three years ago. It is a sign, historians say, that the country needs to confront its Soviet past.

North Dakota Passes First State Personhood Amendment In US History
In other words North Dakota banned abortion.
- Bismarck, ND – 03/22/13 – Today, the North Dakota House of Representatives has passed the first personhood amendment in the United States, 57-35.
SCR 4009 states, “the inalienable right to life of every human being at any stage of development must be recognized and protected.”
Every major prolife organization in North Dakota has joined forces to defend and endorse SCR 4009, including North Dakota Family Alliance, North Dakota Right to Life, Concerned Women for America North Dakota, North Dakota Life League, North Dakota Catholic Conference, and Personhood North Dakota.
For the first time in United States history, a legislative body has approved a personhood amendment in both the House and the Senate. Now the amendment will be referred to the people of North Dakota for a vote.
SCR 4009 was written as to ensure that mother and baby are both treated as medical patients, that medical care is not inhibited, and that fertility treatments are not banned.
“The North Dakota legislature has taken historic strides to protect every human being in the state, paving the way for human rights nationwide,” affirmed Keith Mason, President of Personhood USA. “This amendment strikes the balance of accomplishing more for the unborn than any other amendment the nation has ever seen, while protecting pregnant women and their right to true medical care. We applaud the North Dakota House and Senate for their willingness to protect all of the people in their state.”
Gualberto Garcia Jones, J.D., legal analyst for Personhood USA, continued: “The North Dakota personhood amendment takes the pro-life plank of the GOP platform and it into practice. Furthermore, it allows the legislature the needed flexibility to implement the specific protections of the right to life through future legislation.”

North Dakota Lawmakers Considering Outlawing All Abortions
The “personhood” measures would ban abortions by defining human life as beginning with conception. It’s drawing opposition from some doctors who say it could cause problems for infertile couples seeking to use in vitro fertilization to conceive, but supporters insist that’s addressed in the legislation.
The state Senate passed two personhood measures last month, and the House could vote as soon as Tuesday. One of the bills would make the proposal a state law and another is a resolution that would put the definition into the state constitution, if passed by voters.
North Dakota is one of several states with Republican-controlled Legislatures and GOP governors that is looking at abortion restrictions, but the state is could go further than any other in challenging the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 decision that legalized abortion.

24 Canadianisms More Interesting Than 'Eh?'
(Mentalfloss) - The first and last historical dictionary of Canadian English, A Dictionary of Canadianisms on Historical Principles, was published in 1967. A new edition has been in the works since 2005, and is scheduled for publication in 2014, but in the meantime the original dictionary has beenput online and makes a wonderful place to search or browse through the wordy history of "our neighbors to the North" (either an Americanism or a cliché, depending on how you feel about it). Here are some Canadianisms that are much more interesting than the usual "eh?"
1. BACK JUNK.
1. BACK JUNK.
"Junk" was a word for a chunk of log or piece of firewood. "Back junk" is defined as "a large log placed at the back of a wood fire to make it last."
2. CALGARY REDEYE
Skip the Bloody Mary and have one of these, "a mixture of tomato juice and beer, a drink associated with Calgary, Alberta, and the surrounding area."
3. CALUMET FEVER
A term used among Ottawa valley lumberjacks, it referred to the "fear of riding a crib of logs down the slide at Calumet, Quebec."
4. FISHOCRACY
A term describing the structure of the Newfoundland fishing industry. A 1940 source explains, "the fishocracy comprised in descending order: (1) the principal merchants, high officials, and some lawyers and medical men; (2) small merchants, important shopkeepers, lawyers, doctors, and secondary officials; (3) grocers, master mechanics, and schooner holders; and (4) fishermen."
5. HOGTOWN
A nickname for Toronto which some say harkens back to its role in the meat-packing industry, but which the dictionary says is "so called because outsiders accuse Torontonians of taking everything unto themselves."
6. Hydro
Hydro-electric power. Canadians still talk about dealing with their "hydro bill."
7. IDIOT STICK
A small, cheap version of a Native totem pole sold to tourists in British Columbia.
8. IMPROVED BRITISHER
Good-natured teasing term for "an immigrant from the British Isles, especially an Englishman, who has been in Canada long enough to have lost some of his native shortcomings." See also, "improved Scotsman."

10. MAL DE RAQUETTE
From the French for "snowshoe sickness." It refers to "a painful state of inflamed joints and muscles affecting snowshoers, caused by undue strain on the tendons of the leg."

12. MOSCOVADOEY
A term from Eastern Quebec for snow with the texture of muscovado (raw sugar).
13. MUDPUP
A term for "a young Englishman sent out to Western Canada to learn farming." A 1955 source claims that "when the war [WWI] started the Mud Pups joined up to the last man and the bachelor population of Duncan vanished overnight."
14. MUFFIN
A 1965 history explains, "at the beginning of the winter season each young man chose 'a muffin'—a 'steady date' for the season—an arrangement terminated by mutual consent in the following spring." An 1865 book also gave the term "muffinage" for the state of being hooked up with a muffin. But an 1873 source claimed "no lady owned to ever having been a muffin, at least not until she knew her young man well enough to tell him so."
15.OGOPOGO
A sea monster said to live in Okanagan Lake in British Columbia. A 1936 source describes what he looks like: "Ogopogo's head is slightly reminiscent of Henry VIII, he has a torso like an accordeon, and a tail like a shillelagh."

Maryland School District Outlaws Hugging, Homemade Food, Pushing Kids On Swings
From Carpenter'sCabin
- The public education system in Maryland has officially gone off the deep end.
The Old Line State - where kids have been suspended for making guns with their fingers and with toaster pastries - now boasts a school district that prohibits hugging and homemade food in public elementary schools for anyone except a parent’s own children.
Parents must also register to enter the playground and they can’t push anyone except their own kids on the swings.
The Enterprise, a member of Southern Maryland Newspapers, has the story.
Officials with St. Mary’s County Public Schools say the new rules are necessary to provide a generally safe environment.
A committee composed of parents and elementary school principals created the regulations after a handful of meetings last year. Other new rules include a ban on ad-hoc parent-teacher conferences. The distribution of birthday invitations on school grounds is also now verboten.
“We’re not violating anybody’s rights,” Superintendent Michael Martirano told The Enterprise.

France: Mali's sovereignty To Be Restored 'In A Few Days'
Must be Spring or something. . .
(Telegraph) - French President Francois Hollande last night said Mali's sovereignty over almost all of its territory would be restored within "a few days". "In the last phase where we are, almost the entire territory will return to Mali's sovereignty in a few days," Mr. Hollande said during a dinner with representatives of the Jewish community in France.
"Our intervention allowed us to obtain major results within two months: the offensive by terrorist groups was stopped (and) the towns were recaptured," Mr Hollande said.
Mr. Hollande spoke shortly after his Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault told parliament that French troops would begin pulling out of troubled Mali "from the end of April".
Mr. Ayrault said a meeting next Monday between members of France's National Assembly and Senate would assess the involvement of French troops to help flush out Islamist rebels in the west African country "even if our troops will begin coming home from the end of April".

Will Today's Modern Slaves Get An Apology?
From BritishNationalParty -
There is much more to this than simple polite apology, so as to clear the metaphorical air. The agitation to compel the government to apologise for slavery, and to make wealthy families feel guilty about the possible sources of their family fortunes, is merely part of an ethnic power-play, a decades-long attempt to demoralise Britain's indigenous inhabitants so as to grant 'legitimacy' to relatively newly-arrived, insecure-feeling minorities.
If the British had to apologise for the 'slave trade' why shouldn't black Africans, Arabs, Asians, and Eastern Europeans apologise for their part in the modern slave trade?
And:
- I'm sure it's just a another 'Jewish conspiracy' anyway.

Israelis Want Spy Jonathan Pollard Freed.
(JerusalemPost) - The large banners hang throughout the streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
With pictures of President Obama and Jonathan Pollard they exhort the US President “Yes You Can!," playing off his campaign slogan to encourage him to free Jonathan Pollard, 58, who has been jailed for 28 years.
The posters are part of a growing campaign in Israel to achieve Pollard’s release on both humanitarian and moral grounds.
“The posters are not our initiative but that of citizens who have spontaneously launched a campaign to free Jonathan,” Effi Lahav the head of the Free Jonathan Pollard organization told The Media Line. “They are not directed against the US, but in favor of ending this painful tragedy that has continued for 28 years and almost 10,000 days.”
Jonathan Pollard, a former US Navy intelligence analyst began spying for Israel in 1984. He was discovered 18 months later and after a failed bid to take refuge in the Israeli embassy, was sentenced to life in prison.
In an interview on Israeli television in advance of his visit President Obama said he did not intend to release Pollard “immediately.” He said Pollard had “committed a very serious crime” and was “serving his time.”

Canada Drops Out Of 10 Most Developed Countries List.
(cbc.ca) - Canada has slipped out of the top 10 countries listed in the annual United Nation's human development index — a far cry from the 1990s when it held the first place for most of the decade.
The 2013 report, which reviews a country's performance in health, education and income, places Canada in 11th place versus 10th last year.
A closer look at the trends shows Canada actually did better than last year, but other countries such as Japan and Australia improved at a greater rate.
When the numbers are adjusted for gender inequality, Canada slumps to 18th place. The United States fares even worse -- sinking from third to 42nd place.

Cypriot Bailout: A German Victory That Threatens To Unleash Chaos.
(TheTrumpet.com) - The Cypriot bailout agreed in the earlier hours of Saturday morning could be a game changer for the eurozone. It was a resounding victory for Germany, but the compromise reached could see banks collapse across Southern Europe.
Cyprus places Germany in a dilemma. The country needs a bailout of around €17 billion (US$22 billion) to avoid going bankrupt. To German elites, this is a great opportunity to gain control of one of the world’s most strategic pieces of real estate. But ordinary German taxpayers don’t care about this. They don’t want their money going to what they believe is a crooked banking system.
Saturday’s decision allows Germany to have its cake and eat it. The meeting of eurozone finance ministers decided to loan Cyprus €10 billion. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will probably also join in. But the bailout comes with a shocking and unprecedented condition.
Cypriots will have money taken directly out of their bank accounts. Monday is a bank holiday in Cyprus. By the time banks open on Tuesday, all depositors will have a chunk taken out of their account. Accounts with less than €100,000 will face a levy of 6.75 percent. Those with more, will be taxed at 9.9 percent.
This decision blurs the line between taxation and theft. If you had $10,000 of savings in a bank account—that you had already paid tax on—the government would take $675.
Even government members were surprised. “My initial reaction is one of shock,” said the head of parliamentary financial affairs committee, Nicholas Papadopoulos. “This decision is much worse than what we expected and contrary to what the government was assuring us, right up until last night,” he told Reuters. The current leadership has constantly promised there would be no tax on bank deposits. They have been forced into total surrender by Germany.

330 Million Abortions In China Since One Child Policy.
(Via InfoWars.com) - Chinese doctors have performed more than 330m abortions since the government implemented a controversial family planning policy 40 years ago, according to official data from the health ministry.
China’s one-child policy has been the subject of a heated debate about its economic consequences as the population ages. Forced abortions and sterilisations have also been criticised by human rights campaigners such as Chen Guangcheng, the blind legal activist who sought refuge at the US embassy in Beijing last year.
China first introduced measures to limit the size of the population in 1971, encouraging couples to have fewer children. The one-child rule, with exceptions for ethnic minorities and some rural families, was implemented at the end of the decade.
Since 1971, doctors have performed 336m abortions and 196m sterilisations, the data reveal. They have also inserted 403m intrauterine devices, a normal birth control procedure in the west but one that local officials often force on women in China.

Iraq War Killed 120,000, Cost US$800 Billion.
(JapanTimes) - At least 116,000 Iraqi civilians and more than 4,800 coalition troops died in Iraq between the outbreak of war in 2003 and the U.S. withdrawal in 2011, researchers estimated Friday.
Its involvement in Iraq has so far cost the United States $810 billion and could eventually reach $3 trillion, they added.
The estimates come from two U.S. professors of public health, reporting in the British peer-reviewed journal The Lancet.

South Africa Cardinal Says Pedophilia Not A Crime.
It's just a lifestyle, HATERS!
(Reuters) - A South African cardinal who helped elect Pope Francis this week has told the BBC pedophilia is an illness and not a crime.
Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier, the Catholic Archbishop of Durban, told BBC Radio 5 on Saturday that pedophilia was a "disorder" that needed to be treated.
"From my experience, pedophilia is actually an illness. It's not a criminal condition, it's an illness," he said.
Napier said he knew of at least two priests who became pedophiles after they were abused as children.
"Now don't tell me that those people are criminally responsible like somebody who chooses to do something like that. I don't think you can really take the position and say that person deserves to be punished. He was himself damaged."
The Catholic Church has had its image deeply tarnished by a widespread child sex abuse scandal.

25 Biggest Political Scandals In History.
Politics, as many people know, can be quite a dirty business. Because of the many perks that are included with public service, such as fame, power, money, and honor, there are certain politicians that cannot control themselves and give in to the temptations of corruption and greed. Some of the more common scandals that are mentioned in the news have to do with extramarital affairs, excessive use of funds, improper utilization of taxes, and more. But of the many crimes that have been seen in the field of politics, these are the 25 biggest political scandals in history that truly stand out.

Argentine Jorge Bergoglio Elected Pope Francis.
VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina was elected pope Wednesday, becoming the first pontiff from the Americas and the first from outside Europe in more than a millennium. He chose the name Francis, associating himself with the humble 13th-century Italian preacher who lived a life of poverty.
Looking stunned, Francis shyly waved to the crowd of more than 100,000 people who packed a rain-soaked St. Peter's Square for the announcement, marveling that the cardinals needed to look to "the end of the earth" to find a bishop of Rome.
In choosing a 76-year-old pope, the cardinals clearly decided that they didn't need a vigorous, young pope who would reign for decades but rather a seasoned, popular and humble pastor who would draw followers to the faith and help rebuild a church stained by scandal.
The cardinal electors overcame deep divisions about the future of the church to select the 266th pontiff in a remarkably fast, five-ballot conclave.

Falkland Islanders Vote 'Yes' In Referendum To Remain Part Of Britain.
The people of the Falklands have delivered one of the most emphatic votes in recent history when 99.8 per cent of those taking part in a referendum on the future of the islands said yes to remaining a British overseas territory.
Argentina must bee seething with rage. . .
(Telegraph.co.uk) - Just three people responded with the answer “No” to the question: "Do you wish the Falkland Islands to retain their current political status as an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom?” A total of 1513 answered in the affirmative.
In truth, the outcome of the poll was never in doubt, but the size of the Yes vote, combined with a turnout of 92 per cent, provoked gasps and cries of “Listen to us!” from the crowd gathered inside Port Stanley town hall.

US: Feds Spend $1.5 Million To Study Why Lesbians Are Fat.
(CNSNews.com) – The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $1.5 million to study biological and social factors for why “three-quarters” of lesbians are obese and why gay males are not, calling it an issue of “high public-health significance.”
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass., has received two grants administered by NIH’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to study the relationship between sexual orientation and obesity.
“Obesity is one of the most critical public health issues affecting the U.S. today,” the description of the grant reads. “Racial and socioeconomic disparities in the determinants, distribution, and consequences of obesity are receiving increasing attention.”
“However, one area that is only beginning to be recognized is the striking interplay of gender and sexual orientation in obesity disparities,” it states.

(wnd) - Iran is now putting five Christians arrested in October on trial for “action against national security” in what some say is the Islamic republic’s all-out effort to stop the spread of Christianity.
Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported that Church of Iran members Mohammad Roghangir, Surush Saraie, Eskandar Rezaie, Shahin Lahooti and Massoud Rezaie will stand trial before the Revolutionary Court for disturbing public order, evangelizing, action against national security and Internet activity against the system.

Hamas Blocks Humanitarian Aid From Reaching The Children Of Gaza.
Where's the global outrage?
(ShariaUnveiled) - Dozens of heavy trucks transporting humanitarian aid have been sitting idly on the border of the Gaza Strip since Monday, unable to enter the coastal enclave after Hamas shut the gates from its side.
The perishable items among the aid carried by the 65 trucks are threatening to spoil if the situation isn’t resolved quickly.
The problem is that earlier this week, Hamas decided to seize control of Gaza’s border crossings from the Palestinian Authority. Israel has been working with the P.A to ensure that regular supplies entered Gaza.
But Hamas and Israel have no cooperation, and the terror group seems uninterested in getting those trucks into the territory it rules.
Israeli Gen. Eitan Dangot, the officer in charge of coordinating aid transfers, stressed that Israel continues to facilitate the entry of goods to Gaza, and will gladly resume that practice if someone on the other side will let that happen.
Gen. Dangot noted that Hamas is inflicting great harm on its own people in a misguided attempt to score PR points with the international community.

Minnesota: Rep. Kieth Ellison Still Working To Keep The River Of US Money Flowing To Somalia.
(RefugeeResettlementWatch) - In February, Ellison, the go-to guy for the refugee resettlement industry in Congress, traveled to Mogadishu in order to facilitate keeping the remittance pipeline open from Minnesota to Somalia. As we reported here in January, up to $120 million a month is sent from Minnesota alone to Somalia!
Ellison has been leading the charge to get the federal government to back off of its prohibition on those little mom & pop money transfer businesses sending money to a country that many knew had al-Shabaab terrorists at the other end of the pipeline.
From Minnesota Public Radio last month:
MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison visited Somalia’s capital on Tuesday, the first visit in years by a member of Congress to what until recently was considered one of the world’s most dangerous cities.
Ellison, D-Minn., said his visit to Mogadishu fulfills a request from his constituents* with ties to Somalia. Minnesota has one of the largest populations of Somali-Americans in the U.S.
[....]
“I told my constituency I would come here and work for the United States and Somalia relationship, and I am doing that in today’s visit,” Ellison told a news conference in Mogadishu.
[....]
Ellison said his meetings with Somali officials would focus on financial remittances most often sent by Somalis in the U.S. back to family members in Somalia. Such remittances have become harder to make over fears that people sending money could be accused of aiding a terrorist organization such as al-Shabab.
Why don’t lazy reporters put in stories like this one that it’s not just a “fear” that money might end up in the wrong hands, but we have had recent CONVICTIONS of Somalis sending money to al-Shabaab. There are those two (go to hell infidels) women in Minnesota here and then the San Diego Somalishere. It is not a “fear” that it might happen. It has happened.
Besides, why should we be allowing immigrants of all sorts to be sending the US treasury to prop-up the third world—that is exactly what we are doing even if there aren’t potential terrorists at the receiving end. See El Salvador, here.
*For new readers who might be wondering how Ellison got all those Somali constituents, thank the US State Department and its nine major federal refugee resettlement contractors. More Somalis on the way!
We have resettled more than 100,000 Somali refugees to cities large and small in the US over the last 25 years. See one of the most widely read posts here at RRW. Large numbers went to Minneapolis, and now they are spreading out throughout the state. In three years since 9/11 ( Bush years 2004, 2005, 2006) the number of Somalis arriving topped 10,000 per year. Those refugees then began bringing in the family (chain migration!) until 2008 when shock of shocks! the State Department discovered that as many as 30,000 Somalis had lied about their kinship and weren’t related at all. The State Department then closed the “family reunification” program for Somalis. It has recently been re-opened for new and legit family members, but they have no intention of finding and deporting the liars.
In the first 4 months of this fiscal year (Oct. 1 to January 31) we have resettled 2,260 new Somalis which means we are on target to make 2013 a banner year for Somalis entering the US. Never mind that Somalia’s new President is urging Somalis to “come home.”

E.U. To Consider Pornography Ban.
MEPs to vote on EU 'ban on all forms of pornography'
(Telegraph.co.uk) - Controversy has erupted over next Tuesday's European Parliament resolution "on eliminating gender stereotypes in the E.U", meant to mark international women's day, after libertarian Swedish MEPs from the Pirate Party spotted the call for a ban in the small print.
While not legally binding, the vote could be the first step towards European legislation as the EU's assembly increasingly flexes its political muscle within Europe's institutions.
The proposal "calls on the EU and its member states to take concrete action on discrimination against women in advertising... [with] a ban on all forms of pornography in the media".
Kartika Liotard, a Dutch left-wing feminist MEP, is seeking "statutory measures to prevent any form of pornography in the media and in advertising and for a ban on advertising for pornographic products and sex tourism", including measures in the "digital field".
The MEPs are also demanding the establishment of state sex censors with "a mandate to impose effective sanctions on companies and individuals promoting the sexualisation of girls".

Venezuela President Hugo Chavez Dead At 58.
Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez has died, his vice-president has announced.
(BBC) - Mister Chavez had not appeared in public since he returned to Venezuela last month after cancer treatment in Cuba.
An emotional Nicolas Maduro made the announcement on Tuesday evening, flanked by leading Venezuelan political and military leaders.
Earlier, he said the 58-year-old Venezuelan leader had a new, severe respiratory infection and had entered "his most difficult hours".
One of the most visible, vocal and controversial leaders in Latin America, the former army paratrooper won the presidency in 1998 and had most recently won another six-year presidential term in October 2012.
Last May, he said he had recovered from an unspecified cancer, after undergoing surgery and chemotherapy in 2011 and a further operation in February 2012.
However, in December 2012, he announced he needed further cancer surgery in Cuba, and named his Vice-President, Nicolas Maduro, as his preferred successor should the need arise.
Mr Chavez remained out of public view, finally returning to Venezuela in February.

U.S. Baby's HIV Infection Cured Through Very Early Treatment,
(Reuters) - A baby girl in Mississippi who was born with HIV has been cured after very early treatment with standard HIV drugs, U.S. researchers reported on Sunday, in a potentially ground-breaking case that could offer insights on how to eradicate HIV infection in its youngest victims.
The child's story is the first account of an infant achieving a so-called functional cure, a rare event in which a person achieves remission without the need for drugs and standard blood tests show no signs that the virus is making copies of itself.
More testing needs to be done to see if the treatment would have the same effect on other children, but the results could change the way high-risk babies are treated and possibly lead to a cure for children with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

Ethnic Clashes Erupt In Guinea Capital.
Diversity Is Strength!
