(CHICAGO.CBSLOCAL) — Police arrested six students at Streamwood High School on Tuesday, after a fight that prompted a “hold in place” order at the school.
Six students were arrested in connection with the fight. No one was seriously hurt, although one student had a bloody lip. It was unclear how many students were involved in the fight.
Police from Streamwood and several surrounding suburbs responded after a racially-based lunchroom brawl quickly spun out of control.
“It was at least 40 kids fighting, then it travelled all the way up to the 2nd floor. They fought inside the offices,” said student Deshawn Cavin.
